Saw The Three Musketeers tonight.

Fucking finally. I knew I was going to love this film. Laughed myself through all of it. Perfect.

➜ This is going to be perfect.
Aaand with my 100th post

I am up to date. I may resume the watching of the films.

I’ve only got about 70 to go. Piece of cake.

I like how you can compliment and insult somebody at the same time, in equal measure.

VERDICT
This is the kind of filmmaking that I love. Simple, yet effective. And cool. For the record cool, to me, is not necessarily something shiny or explosive; it’s a feeling. It is something that you marvel at. and I marvel at this. It just feels like Cianfrance loves to make film, and therefore wants to make it the best it can be. And this was.
The story is heartbreaking, of course, but the reason why it’s so compelling is because it is so. very. human. I loved that. I loved how human it was, it was so human that I didn’t feel like it was tragic. It felt natural and that is a huge feat to me.
The composition is fantastic and definitely the perfect way to present this story. While it is bonecrushing to see the huge contrast between how they were and how they ended up, there lies a strange comfort in seeing them as their young selves, being that happy. Even though you know that they won’t end up in that bliss forever, atleast you know that they had it once. And the ending was beautiful.
Williams and Gosling are, of course, the film. Perfect performances by both; they capture this humanity that you always hope actors are able to bring to the screen. And man do they deliver. I normally hate to make comparisons, but I just have to say that their chemistry in this film was reminiscent of that of Winslet and DiCaprio in Revolutionairy Road. They are completely believable.
Highly recommend this. ‘Nuff said.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol was awesome! I fucking loved it.

toawonderfuleveningoflovemaking:

  • The ending was shit, but who gives a fuck?
  • Jeremy Renner!!
  • I don’t care what people say; I fucking love Tom Cruise.
  • I lauged. A lot.
  • The part in the beginning when the chick had to have some romance shit… What the fuck? Awful.
  • But then shit got real.

Herreguuuuuud, ja!

Fy faen, så jææævlig dårlig start a’gitt!

VERDICT
Easy come, easy go. Cate Blanchett is perfectly terrifying, Saoirse Ronan is one of the most talented actresses coming up and the plot is engaging enough, though a little simple.
Easy actioner with a good cast. Not a waste of time, but not the time of your life either.
Easy to recommend.
